From personal experience, I can honestly say a wedding in Mauritius is a match made in paradise.
I had mine there last year and it's such a unique experience, it will be a magically cherrished memory forever. Everything is taken care of without a hitch, from the cake to the flowers, to the reception preparation, photographers, guest accommodation to legalities and making sure the actual evening runs smoothly, everyone involved is so dedicated to making sure everything goes as it should. At MauritiusDeals, we know how important this day can be for everyone involved. We have therefore put together a list of everything you need to know below. The Ceremony. Beach weddings are civil ceremonies, conducted by a registrar from the Civil Status Office and will be conducted in English. Your wedding certificate will be valid under British law and therefore you do not need to register your marriage on your return. You should arrange to be in Mauritius at least seven days before the wedding, as you will need to visit the Civil Offices in Port Louis to sign forms etc. Documents you'll need are: - Passports - Birth Certificates - Decree Absolute (if divorced) - Deed Poll (if name changed) - Death Certificate and previous marriage certificate if widowed Venue Reccomended We personally reccommend Villas Caroline for the wedding ceremony. A beautiful hotel on the west coast of Mauritius, with a large open-air buffet area around the pool for the reception, band stand and dancefloor. If you are having an evening ceremony, they can arrange for a stunning torch-lit pathway from the beach entrance of the hotel to the reception overlooking it. Click here to see the hotel Flowers On arrival at Villas Caroline, arrange to speak with the management, who will call in the local florist, photographer and cake makers to sit down with you and choose how you would like everything to be arranged. Visitor Accommodation A five minute walk from Villas Caroline are various complexes offering 3 and 4 bedroom villas at low prices, ideal for large groups: - Luxurious new Grenadier complex - Popular Latanier complex - Great budget complex Blue Shell If you would like to know more about weddings in Mauritius, or book Villas Caroline through us, email : weddings@mauritiusdeals.com and we'll do all we can to help arrange the perfect wedding.
